GALENA — Help Galena Elementary School ring in the holidays by supporting a fundraiser for new playground equipment.
On Monday, Dec. 19, students will participate in the inaugural Galena Elementary Jingle Bell Fun Run.
Starting at 9:45 a.m., each grade level will take turns running and walking around the school's track and cheering one another one.
Visitors are invited to help cheer on the students.
The Jingle Bell Fun Run is a fundraiser for new playground equipment in the middle of the field behind the school.
The new location will also allow for the expansion of the school's parking lot.
Help support this fundraiser by purchasing one of the packages listed below, making a donation or sponsoring another student.
The packages and donation amounts are:
• White Package: bells for shoes ($5)
• Red Package: bells for shoes and holiday socks ($10)
• Green Package: bells for shoes, holiday socks and a bell necklace ($15)
• Silver Package: bells for shoes, holiday socks, a bell necklace and a Santa hat ($20)
• Gold Package: bells for shoes, holiday socks, a bell necklace, a Santa hat and a T-shirt
All orders are due by Thursday, Dec. 8.
