Local assessments are used to determine students' knowledge of state standards currently being taught, monitor their progress in gaining necessary skills, assess their achievement and enable the Kent County Public Schools to modify existing programs and develop new goals aligned with specific student needs.
These assessment tools give teachers the ability to see where students are in their understanding and support their individual learning and abilities.
Accommodations for all assessments are available based on student IEP, 504 or ELL plans.
