Kent County Board of Education banner

The Kent County Board of Education has five elected members, each serving four-year terms, and a student member from Kent County High School selected to serve for a one-year term. The Board of Education regularly meets on the second Monday of the month at the Kent County Public Schools Central Office, 5608 Boundary Ave., Rock Hall.




Meeting Information

The Kent County Board of Education will hold a special meeting Monday, May 5, at 5:30 p.m. to approve the Fiscal Year 2026 budget. The next regular meeting of the Board of Education will be on Monday, May 12, beginning at 5:30 p.m. with the Board immediately going into closed session. The open session will resume at 6:30 p.m.

Both meetings will be located at the Kent County Public Schools Administrative Building in the Board Room, 5608 Boundary Ave., Rock Hall.

Ethics Panel and Policy

The Ethics Panel is charged with receiving and maintaining documents such as financial disclosure forms, providing advisory opinions and reviewing alleged ethics violations.
 
Three members comprise the Ethics Panel in accordance with Kent County Board of Education policy.
 
Members must be residents of Kent County. Membership restrictions include current Board of Education members and school officials, employees and their spouses.
 
Appointments to the Ethics Panel are confirmed by the Board of Education.
 
Ethics Panel members are appointed to three-year terms. Members are eligible for reappointment.
